Synopsis: A pregnant teenager considers adoption. Sorry so blunt, but that's what it's about. It's gets better at the "Review" part, I promise. :-)

Review: Juno is the cheese to my macaroni. This was the first feel-good movie I've seen in a long time. The adjectives I'm gonna use seem cliche, but they're true. First off, it's funny as hell. You have no soul if you don't crack a smile or let out a laugh during the movie. Second, you're gonna want to buy these things when you get out of the theatre: a hamburger phone, Tic Tacs and a blue slushie.
Third (I'm starting a new paragraph because I'm gonna talk a lot about this), the acting is wonderful all around. Simmons and Janney are perfect for Juno's dad and step mom. They both tell it like it is and are fantastic (Janney rocks my face off at the scene of Juno's ultrasound). Cera (playing Juno's boy) and Thirlby (playing Juno's BFF) are the right fit and just as quirky as the rest of the cast. Cera's "Bleeker" is just so sweet (as in adorable) and Thirlby's "Leah" cracks me up with her quips and bondage she has with Juno. Bateman and Garner surprised me (in a good way) as the role of the couple Juno picked to adopt her baby. They aren't playing their usual roles they would play (which is great) and they do a good job doing it. Last but not least, Page is awesome. She was stellar in Hard Candy and stellar in Juno. Yeah, she didn't get a Golden Globe for this one, but she is sure to be nominated in the near future because she is a very, very, talented young lady.

Fourth, the soundtrack couldn't be better - Kimya Dawson's tracks, "Anyone Else But You" by Moldy Peaches and "Expectations" by Belle and Sebastian add to Juno's character if that's even possible. Check out my soundtrack review here.

Verdict: A-
It's really sweet, seriously.

The trailer.
